The Diani Children’s Village was started in 1994 with an objective of providing orphans, neglected and abandoned children with a home. The home caters for basic needs; health care, education, recreation, skill building opportunities etc. This is to give the children hope and provide a foundation for a future independent life.

  • 03/2009 - Jambo from Diani Children's Village. It has been the hottest period of the year with very high temperatures of 34° but we are all doing well. We are glad to inform you about the progress of the Children and the home in general. One of the students, Grace, completed her primary school education last year and performed very well! Grace got a placement at Lamu Girls Secondary School where she is now in Form 1. [...]

  • 10/2008 - Many Greetings from Diani Children's Village. We are glad to inform you about the general well being of the children and progress made during the past few months. The secondary school students have just come for their midterm-break and have now started the final term of the year. The young ones are also happy to be in school and learn new things each day.   • 05/2008 - Receive much greeting from DCV and a peaceful Kenya! In general the children are doing fine. The four small children are enjoying playgroup and are learning to socialise with other children. Their speech has improved a lot and they basically do not stop talking! [...]
