29-Apr-2008 - Anyone with a disability knows that traveling, without proper planning and preparation can be quite difficult. When my grandmother asked me to accompany her and my mother to Africa, I was indeed, very hesitant, as I wasn't sure how this would be possible. I am a paraplegic who requires the use of a wheelchair full time. My fears were quickly put to rest when I came across Go Africa Safaris, and met Esther. She took into consideration all of my needs and unlike all the other companies I spoke with, she asked all the right questions. This reassured me, as I knew she had previous experience with persons with disabilities and really knew what she was talking about. After several weeks of collaboration with Esther to plan the vacation of our dreams, the time had come and we were on our way to Africa.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, we were greeted by Esther and our private driver guide, Benadict. It was such a relief to meet such friendly and welcoming faces! From the very beginning of our trip, all the way to the end, we came across no surprises. This goes to show the amount of attention to detail that was put into the planning of our trip. From a portable ramp, to bathroom pit stops, to wheelchair accessible accommodations, nothing was left out. Benadict was so helpful, in so many ways. He has an extensive knowledge and we really learned a lot from him. His sense of humor and big smile, made us feel comfortable from the get go! We owe a big thanks to Esther and Ben for truly making our trip to Kenya a dream come true.

We would, without a doubt recommend this company to anyone who wants to get the best out of their adventure to Africa. Especially for the adventurous disabled traveler. Thanks again Esther!!
