12-Oct-2012 - Dear Esther, I would like to thank you so much for making my first Safari to the Mother land such a pleasurable experience. I spend a total of 10 days in Kenya and each day was a different experience and more enjoyable that the previous day. As a photographer I was very impressed by the vastness of the country side.

My first night in Kenya, I stayed at the Serena hotel in Nairobi (5 star hotel ). I would recommend this hotel to any one without any reservations.

The first leg of the Safari was Tsavo West National Park. I was very impressed by the souvenir shops that we stopped at along the way. The craftsmanship of the wood carving were exceptional. I was fortunate enough to video and get pictures of the craftsmen at work and their art work. Their wood work both in Mahogany and rose wood were exceptional.

I took pictures of the elephants, zebras, antelopes, etc, at Tsavo West. I was very impressed and humbled by all of the wild life I saw on that reserve. From there I went on to Amboselli and Lake Naivasha. The Lodges at these parks were very nice and comfortable. Like I stated before the wildlife was exceptional and the souvenir shops were getting more elaborate.

The Boat ride on Lake Naivasha was awesome. Face to face with Hippos in herds as large as 10 was a impressive sight. The sighting of Rhinoceros at Lake Nakuru was something that wasn't offered at the other reserves.

From Lake Nakuru, I went on to Masai Mara for three days. I met Masai warriors. What can I say. AWESOME. As a photographer I was able to get some wonderful pictures. I was also able to video the ladies singing a welcome song.

I cannot complete my Testimonial without mentioning and thanking Zakaria Wahome aka Zack. This young man was an exceptional guide. His knowledge of the animals, history of the Africa and Kenya in particular was extraordinary. He displayed a profound love for his country and his people. He was able to answer any and all questions that I ask of him, whether it was about the trees, roads, animals or politics. He was also kind enough to give me a brief history of the people of Kenya.

I would highly recommend Zack as a guide to any individual or group of people touring with Go Africa Safaris & Travel. I only regret was not meeting Ms.Esther Nthemba. I hope to meet you on my next visit to Africa. Thank you and Zack for a very memorable Safari.

ASANTE.
