Satao Camp Tsavo
click the picture, 7 photos available!The camp has a semi-circular layout, conducive to game viewing. There are 20 tents in total, all have en suite bathrooms. There are 16 family tents and 4 suites. Each tent is constructed of sisal and boroti poles and a makuti roof. Locally made hand carved beds graces the tents. Authentic antique writing desks and beautiful African bed and cushion covers are found in the tents.
All of your needs are comfortably met. For breakfast you may choose a continental, full English breakfast, or pancakes, omelette's, and fresh fruits in season. Lunch is served under a 200 Year old Tamarind tree where you may watch the elephants at the watering hole. Gather around the camp fire to hear stories of ancient Africa, or view game in the night-time observation tower.
Surrounded by pristine bush, Satao Camp is ideally located to provide you with the best opportunity to view game, morning to night time. Tsavo National Park will allow you to see the following amongst others: lion, leopard, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, serval cats, antelopes, kongoni, lesser kudu, oryx, klipspringer, impala, stripped hyena, gazelles, buffalos and elephants and some 500 bird species.

Galdessa Camp
click the picture, 6 photos available!The camp is situated under the shade of doum palms and is divided into downstream and upstream camps. The central buildings house a spacious dining area, a bar, and a large, comfortable lounge where guest will have their meals and relax during their free time from activities. This main area is located along the Galana river, where the majority of the game aggregate during the dry season. The thatch roof, Galana stone floors, and deep, bed-size sofas give it a charming coastal atmosphere.
Accommodation is in comfortable and spacious bandas (thatched, semi-tented bungalows on wooden platforms) each of which has en-suite bathrooms, verandas and are situated a good distance apart to provide privacy. Two of the bandas have a separate veranda on stilts (Banda A & 7). These bandas are recommended for Honeymooners as you can sleep under the stars, while being surrounded by elephants and hippos. The bathrooms are large and have traditional bucket showers, flush toilets and basins with running water.
The airstrip, Manyani, is a short 1 hour flight from Nairobi and the transfer from Manyani to camp is a 30 minute drive. By road, the camp is easily accessible, 3.5 hours from Mombasa and 4.5 hours from Nairobi.
