The Ol Pejeta Conservancy is a 360 sq miles laying in Laikipia region (Central Kenya's). It is a non-profit wildlife conservancy situated on the equator, west of Nanyuki; between the foothills of the Aberdares and Mount Kenya. The Ol Pejeta Conservancy works to conserve wildlife, providing a sanctuary for great apes, and generating income through wildlife tourism and aside enterprises. Most of the revenues are re-invested in wildlife conservation and community development. The Conservancy features the largest black rhino sanctuary of East Africa: in 2013, a population 100+ black rhinos was counted.
