Programme

Day 1 - Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi
Our driver/guide will pick you up and transfer to your hotel for overnight. In case of a late arrival we will book you in to one of the new airport hotels which are very convenient and comfortable.

Day 2 - Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast our driver/guide will meet you and give you a briefing on the safari ahead and the days program. Your safari then starts. The drive to the Maasai Mara is a long one, about 6,5 hours to the entrance of the Reserve, however once you are there you will see that the drive was well worth it. Covering some 700 square kilometers, the Maasai Mara is the jewel in the crown of wildlife reserves. The concentration of game within the Reserve and the neighboring Group Ranches almost guarantees that you will see the 4 of the big 5 on your first game drive! Should you choose, there are regular flight to the Reserve and you driver/guide would collect you from the airstrip closest to your chosen accommodation. The Masai Mara also known as Maasai Mara or The Mara is named in honor of the Maasai people - the ancestral inhabitants of this area. The Mara is a part of the Greater Mara Ecosystem which include several group ranches.

Day 3 & 4 - Masai Mara Game Reserve
Spend two full days in the Masai Mara with early morning and afternoon game-drives and lunch at the camp/lodge - alternatively spend most of the day on game-drive with a packed lunch! During July/August the annual Migration of Wildebeest takes place, this is the right time to spend two full days in the Mara - you might be lucky and view a spectacular river crossing ! enjoy the endless plains and breathtaking views, fantastic place to see the sunrise and sunset. The Mara has an exceptional population of cheetah, leopard and lions, you can spot them the whole year around. Dinner and overnight at one of the camps/lodges at the Mara

Day 5 - Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha
After breakfast depart for Lake Naivasha - one of the fresh water lakes at the Great Rift Valley. Check in at one of the lodges along the lake shore and enjoy lunch. Afternoon we have different options. You could relax and enjoy the beautiful gardens where antelope, giraffe, zebra come and graze. A boat ride on the lake where you will see lots of birdlife and hippos or a visit to Hellsgate National Park which is named after a narrow break in the cliffs. Dinner & Overnight at one of the lodges along the lake.

Day 6 - Lake Naivasha - Amboseli National Park
Continue to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and stunning views on to Mt. Kilimanjaro. Part of the Park is a lake where one can see lots of birdlife. A big variety of wildlife can be spotted in the plains and swamps, Giraffe, zebra, Cheetah, Lions, Buffalo and many more. Lunch at the lodge/camp - afternoon game-drive. Dinner & Overnight Amboseli National Park.

Day 7 - Amboseli National Park
Spend the day in the park with game drives around Lake Amboseli In between, enjoy the view onto the Kilimanjaro or cool off in the pool at the Lodge/Camp! A visit to the Observation Hill will offer a panoramic view over the park and surroundings. Lunch/Dinner & Overnight Amboseli National Park

Day 8 - Amboseli - Tsavo West National Park
Wake up for an early morning game-drive, the best time to have a clear view of the mountain! Return for breakfast at the lodge/camp. Continue to Tsavo West National Park, a totally different experience! Tsavo West has an amazing scenery, the landscape just changes in all corners of the park. Lunch at the lodge/camp and afternoon game-drive. Visit the Mzima Springs, four natural springs in the western part of the park. The source of the springs originate from the Chyulu Hills , a range of volcanic lava rock and ash. Mzima has many hippos and crocodiles. A sundowner at one of the viewpoints would be a great addition to your visit to Tsavo West. Dinner & Overnight Tsavo West National Park

Day 9 - Tsavo West - Tsavo East National Park
After breakfast proceed to Tsavo East National Park, game-drive enroute to the park exit. Tsavo East is one of the largest and oldest park in Kenya. Its separated from Tsavo West by the high way and railway. Tsavo East is quite different from West, here you will find savanna and grassland. Great to spot lots of wildlife of which the park has an abundance. The Yatta Plateau , Lugard Falls, Galana River are some of the known features of Tsavo East. Lunch at the camp/lodge - afternoon game-drive. Dinner & Overnight Tsavo East National Park

Day 10 - Tsavo East National Park - Coast
Enjoy your last early morning game-drive! After breakfast start the drive to the Coast or drive back to Nairobi. Travel by rail or air are also possible options to look at.
