In Ngorongoro, the huge herds of herbivores supports a dense populations of predators.The constant presence of these predators made the Ngorongoro safaris so popular. The Crater’s lion population varies significantly over time, they totally disregard the vehicles presence; they even hunt within few meters from the car and when their meal is complete sometimes they take a nap by the shade beside them. © Marcello Damiani.
